Today was a joint little adventure. Ewan wanted to see if he could manage a 40mile day ride, all part of his plan to go further on this year’s summer cycle tour. We headed off into the Warwickshire countryside east of Coventry. We used a mixture of roads and route 53 & 41 of Sustrans national cycle network – The Lias Line.

Of course, an adventure isn’t just about cycling, it has to include some eating. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast from Pumpkins Deli in Brinklow (highly recommended if you’re cycling in the area) where we also bought cakes to enjoy by Draycote Water and a stop off at Ryton Pools cafe on our way back. A bit of play and exploring too, you need a break from the saddle every now and then.

We made a little film of our adventure, so sit back and enjoy the sunshine! Hope it inspires you to get out there.
