That slightly chaotic but wildly fun game where you only decide on your parkrun destination while you’re en route… how far can you get? Where will you end up?

The army may be famous for its early starts, but so are parkrun tourists, with a 5:30 am wake-up call we were London-bound for Battersea parkrun.

Tewkesbury Parkrun, a scenic four-lap course with stunning views of the 12th-century Tewkesbury Abbey. Exploring the town’s rich history, tackling the fiery Tewkesbury Mustard challenge, and indulging in an epic chocolate feast.

We headed northwest towards Alderford Lake for our parkrun adventure. The misty, dreich weather gave the lake a real atmospheric feel, making for a scenic run around this hidden Shropshire gem

As we live near the NEC, I’ve used my local knowledge to compile my list of recommended nearby parkruns with tips on getting there, what makes it special and links to facebook and web pages. We’ve run them all!
