Snowdonia Marathon Eryri – The Hardest UK Road Marathon?
A fabulous marathon, made so special by the landscape, the community support, the terrain and the many wonderful runners you meet and chat to along the way. You climb 838 metres (2749 feet).
Ewan and I Bikepacking the Cantii Way
Our ride took us 150 miles on a mixture of gravel tracks, cycle paths and quiet country lanes starting in Wye amongst the Kent Downs and taking us round the coast through Margate, Dover and Dungeness before heading back inland to return to Wye.
Plan for Ewan’s Fourth Cycle Tour – The Cantii Way
Ewan and I have been captivated by the new route from Cycling UK – the Cantii Way – so after a Scottish Coast to Coast Cycle tour last year, we’re heading right down South East to explore an area of the country we’ve never really been to before.
Iona’s First Cycle Tour in Staffordshire
Iona’s first time cycle touring, we cycled from Crewe to Wolverhampton via Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford and of course included a parkrun en-route at Trentham Gardens.
Plan for Iona’s first Cycling Touring Adventure
With much poring over train timetables, NCN network maps, parkrun events map and pitchup for campsites and some time spent plotting on Komoot, we have a plan for our Iona’s first cycle touring adventure.
Does Iona have mountaineer legs?
Has Iona got what it takes to climb mountains? Is parkrun easier or harder than ascending 2000ft in 2 miles? Or would it be all too much for an 8 year old?
Aviemore parkrun, the start of our Scottish Adventure 2022
Aviemore parkrun is a lovely run through woods and then onto open moorland with views out to the Caingorm mountains.
Cycling Coast to Coast in Scotland with Ewan
The 2021 story of mine and Ewan’s annual cycle tour. Cycling coast to coast across Scotland 130 miles from Inverkip to Dunbar.
Volunteering at Coventry parkrun – it’s a happiness thing!
Iona and I were back at our home parkrun today, Coventry, but of course we weren’t running it as that would interupt Iona’s tourism streak! We, instead, donned the pink hi-vis and clapped and cheered 511 amazing parkrunners.
Linford Wood parkrun
For Iona’s 43rd parkrun we visited Linford Wood parkrun in Milton Keynes. Enjoy a short film about our little adventure.
Cycle ride out to Erradale, Gairloch
I love this bit of coast, perfect for an evening ride enjoying the sound of the sea, the views out to Skye on the way out and over the Torridon mountains on the return.
Plan for Little Scottish Cycling Adventure with Ewan
Ewan and I are planning to cycle from Inverkip to Dunbar, the West to the East coast of Scotland across the central belt.
