When the dates this year of Marathon Eryri and Coventry Half Marathon coincided on the same weekend, I decided to take on the challenge for a very special cause – The Luca Foundation.
5 months after originally planned, we finally made it to the Cotswolds to run Witney parkrun and explore Bourton on the Water Model Village.
A fabulous marathon, made so special by the landscape, the community support, the terrain and the many wonderful runners you meet and chat to along the way. You climb 838 metres (2749 feet).
Aviemore parkrun is a lovely run through woods and then onto open moorland with views out to the Caingorm mountains.
Iona and I were back at our home parkrun today, Coventry, but of course we weren’t running it as that would interupt Iona’s tourism streak! We, instead, donned the pink hi-vis and clapped and cheered 511 amazing parkrunners.
